Problem with Climate Change
With temperatures rising the weather is changing and the vegetation patterns across the globe, are forcing species to migrate to new but cooler areas in order to survive.
The rapid nature of climate change is likely to exceed the ability of many species to migrate or adjust.
Where the temperature is already rising
· Because of melting ice in the Arctic, polar bears may become extinct in about 100 years.
· Several U.S. states could lose their official birds as they fly towards cooler climates which include the Baltimore oriole of Maryland, black-capped chickadee of Massachusetts, and the American goldfinch of Iowa.
